wide variety of Monday and Tuesday conference breakout sessions. While you still need
to register to attend the
conference and preconference workshops, your personal planner will help you
organize your time on Monday and Tuesday.
Preconference workshops -
December 4 and 5
The three- and six-hour preconference workshops will be on Saturday,
December 4, and Sunday, December 5.
Conference breakout sessions - December 6 and 7
Conference breakout sessions will be on Monday, December
6, and Tuesday, December 7.
Conference strands
The four strands of the conference are:
Digital-age learning experiences
Academic Content Areas Technology Integration: Sessions demonstrate
technology integration best practices, STEM and other academic content areas.
Emerging Technologies: Sessions demonstrate the latest in new technologies
and innovative uses in education.
21st-Century Learners and Learning Environments: Sessions promote or demonstrate curricular design, instructional strategies and learning environments supported by
technology resources and tools that contribute to improved student achievement and how this has transformed learning.
Professional growth and leadership practice
Leadership, Vision and Data-Informed Decision-Making: Sessions offer information to create environments and establish policies that support improved student achievement
(e.g., RTI growth models) and address the way technology may be applied to reach that goal.
Professional Development: Sessions demonstrate ways to enhance professional practice and increase
the productivity of teachers, administrators and the community.
Digital-age citizenship and responsibility
Social, Legal and Ethical Issues: Sessions address ethical and necessary
curriculum, guidelines and policies involved in using technology, the equity
issues and challenges involved, safety and social networking.
Technical support and infrastructure
Best Practices: Sessions focus on the technology and resources required to build,
manage and support the technology infrastructure for effective teaching, learning and
administration.
